how can I become a treasure hunter? are there clubs/bhooks/magazines that I can look at?
and i mean diviing, quests etc – not the ones run by the local pub
Really there’s not too much treasure hunting. The best thing to do is pick an area (the carribean’s always nice) and read A LOT of history. The next step is to buy a boat and breif yourself on salvage laws (this is what makes the treasure yours or the country’s, depending on the area). As for clubs, etc. I don’t think there are many out there because most of the work and techniques are trade secrets. If you’re really interested, find a treasure hunter and ask if you can serve on their ship to gain experience.
