Using the battery meter to monitor energy consumption
You can use the Compaq presario r3000 battery meter to switch to a new power scheme . Although the battery meter is usually used on laptops , it can also appear on a desktop computer , the computer is connected to a UPS ( continuous Power Supply) or any other type of short-term battery .
You ‘ll find the pavilion dv8000 battery meter in the notification area , taskbar Windows. The battery meter monitors simply the laptop’s power consumption during use .
If you hover over the battery icon , you can see the remaining Dell 2600 Battery Charge in percent , and which power plan, in Windows.
Hover over the battery icon to see the active power plan and the remaining Latitude E5400 battery charge.
Note: Many laptops are equipped with more than one battery . Click the battery icon to see the remaining charge of each battery . Hover over icons to see the remaining charge of all batteries .
Battery Meter shows if the laptop is plugged in or running on Dell vostro 1500 Battery Power . When the battery is low, displays the battery meter a message over the battery icon .
The Toshiba satellite l300 battery icon displays and reports the battery’s current state, so you can easily see how much charge the battery has . As long as the battery exceeds 25 percent , the battery icon is green. When the battery reaches 25 percent , a yellow triangle with an exclamation point ( ! ) over the green pa3480u 1brs icon . When the battery’s energy level is low, a red circle with a white cross ( X ) over the green battery icon .
When you click the battery icon indicates pa3450u 1brs battery gauge how much charge the battery has . From the battery meter , you can also switch to another type of power plan ( eg from a schedule that optimizes the system performance to a schedule that saves energy ) .
The settings of a power plan or choose a power plan that does not appear in the Fujitsu FPCBP136 battery meter , click More energy options.
Power Schemes
Energy settings in this version of Windows based on power plans as VGP-BPS8A battery. A power plan is a collection of hardware and system settings that control the computer’s energy consumption . With energy plans can help you save energy , maximize system performance and balance the energy consumption and performance . The three default power schemes that are available – Balanced , Power Saver and High Performance – meet the needs of most users . You can change the settings for all power schemes , and on no set schedule for your needs , you can easily create their own schedules by using a standard schedule .

Although the Balanced power plan by default , the active chart in this version of Windows, you can specify a new schedule by default . You can always change it back to the default Balanced power plan .The following table describes each standard schedule .
Balanced
The schedule balances the energy consumption and performance by adjusting your computer’s processor speed to the level of activity .
The schedule saves energy on a laptop by reducing system performance . The main purpose is to maximize battery life .
High performance
The schedule adjusts the notebook’s processor speed to the level of activity , but focuses on providing maximum performance .
Manage power settings
You can manage the power plan settings using the Energialternativ Control Panel . You can optimize your PC’s power consumption and system performance further , using advanced power settings . No matter how many settings you change , you can always restore the settings, default values .
Note:Computer manufacturer can provide additional power plans and power settings .
Shutting down the computer using the power button
