I have had several toothbrushes from Braun, and so far they were all fine.
Up until this one. It brushes good, although the replacements are quite expensive. Bad is bad about this is that the battery wears out way too soon in my opinion. When I bought it I was already amazed that this expensive brush had a Ni-Cd battery, while the other cheaper ones had a better Ni-Mh battery.
I guess Braun needs a new major income after the patent of the rotating brushes run out. This kind of expensive toothbrush with such a short life span is just bad. The brushing is as good as the cheaper ones.

Good but older style of electric brush
I’ve been using the Sonic Complete (with rectagular vibrating brush head) for 2-3 years now. It is a definite improvement over the various manual toothbrushes I used before. But from further discussion with the hygiene-ist, I think perhaps the newer models with round and rotating brush heads do an even better job. The cost of this one had been large enough, I decided not to change right now.
I’m also a little disappointed that replacement brush heads are so costly. I use them longer than packaging recommends. Overall, because of the improved cleaning results, I can report I’m glad to be using this electric toothbrush.
Nice toothbrush, poor battery life
I don’t have any complaints about the performance of this toothbrush. I was happy with it until the rechargeable battery gave out 2 years and 4 months after buying it. Seems it should last longer for almost one hundred dollars. I called oral-b. They basically said to buy a new one. You cannot replace the battery. They did not come across very friendly when I spoke with them.
Finally a TRUE difference maker toothbrush
I saw the advertisement and I decided to check this out. Didn’t realize how quite expensive it was, but I decided to take a chance and boy am I am glad. Totally worth the purchase price. My teeth feels cleaner, look brighter and my mouth seems fresher. I even smile more after the use of this product and I am one to never smile. It feels as if you are getting a professional cleaning everytime you use it. Not only does this thing brushes your teeth, it polishes them also. I am actually going to purchase another one so I can have one at home and one at work. Also, for famillies, all you have to do is buy more heads because everyone can use this. And this thing is totally pain free, in fact it tickles your mouth, but you will most certainly look forward to brushing. The three speeds are very nice, plus if you follow the directions and brush in quarters, it has a bit of a hesitation to let you know when to move onto the next quarter. I find this very useful if you never had proper instructions on brushing. This is, in my opinion a life changing and habit changing product.
Makes Your Mouth Sparkle
I bought the Oral-B Sonic Complete purely on a “gut” feeling and I’m glad I did. This toothbrush is a winner. It delivers as promised and makes your teeth and gums feel radiant. I’m generally skeptical of advertising hype, but this brush is amazingly effective. In only a few minutes, it makes your mouth feel fresh and healthy. You can see and feel whiter teeth after only a few uses. The unit is well-designed, easy to use, and effective.
There are three modes and each is useful in its own way. The “clean” mode is the strongest and is used on your teeth. It creates a pleasant tickling feeling in your mouth but some people may need to get used to it. The “soft” mode is for your use on your tongue. And finally, the “massage” mode produces an intriguing, pulsating pattern to clean your gums.
The brush gives a tactile pulsing signal every thirty seconds to remind you to switch quadrants in your mouth. It signals you again at two minutes to remind you to stop.
The Sonic Complete comes charged right out of the box so you can use it immediately. I like the whole design of the brush/charger assembly. A full charge takes roughly 16 hours and a pleasant-looking blue light blinks until the brush is fully charged. Then the light stays steady. According to the manual, the unit can last 2 weeks on one charge. The travel case with the S-320 is also a plus. The cord folds into the charger unit. Braun recommends changing the brush head every 3 months.
It’s not often that I buy something and feel so completely happy about my purchase. But once you start using the Sonic Complete, you won’t ever want to go back to only using a regular brush.
One improvement I would suggest is in the packaging. My unit came in a plastic blister-pack which is hard to open and environmentally wasteful. How about plain cardboard packaging like that used with Philip’s Sonicare? However, the replacement brushes do come in a small cardboard package. And it will be nice someday when manufacturers don’t use toxic cadmium-based batteries. But these are small complaints compared to the benefits of the Sonic Complete. Overall, this brush is a good buy and keeps your teeth very clean.
