Choosing a career can be a very difficult task for some people. As it is a life changing task, it is indeed difficult, but you have no other option other than choosing a career. But you should be alert before choosing a career counselor for yourself, because some of them are nothing but frauds. They give you false hopes of higher paying jobs, better job prospects, job guarantees but you should keep in mind that no body can guarantee you any of those. Nothing but it is your own ability, achievements and personality that can get you a job.

Career counselors can only help you but can not get you a job. So you should be very careful while choosing a career counselor, you should choose one who is knowledgeable and experienced in the career you want to choose and verify his/her professional credentials.
