How to install Home Cctv Kit
Installing a CCTV system to protect your loved ones and belongings has become very common in present days. As technology has become more affordable, it is a good idea to install a CCTV system at home. Most of the CCTV system comes with build in alarm function. This will allow you to have both in one system. CCTV can be linked to a DSL router and the images can be viewed through internet. Connecting CCTV system to internet is not rocket science, all you need is a DVR with LAN function and CCTV software and basic knowledge about PC and how it works.
It is very popular to get a DIY Cctv Kit, this package will include all the instruction to setup the CCTV system by your own. First of all, you need to establish your requirements. How many cameras you will require and how many cameras will go outside and how many will go inside.
Cameras to be installed at outside has to be a Weather Proof camera and you also need to decide whether those cameras will function in dark. If you need cameras to function in dark then you have to get Infrared Cameras. Cameras to go inside can be pretty simple, normal dome or bullet cameras.
When you wire for CCTV, you will get prefixed wires (coaxial cable) with CCTV connectors known as BNC. You just have to plug them and they will work. The wire will have two part, power and video. One part of the wire will go to the power connection and mostly this is 12V (UK) and the other will go to the camera and other end will go to Digital Video Recorder DVR.
