Your Questions About Renewable Energy Companies

Carol asks…
I am looking for renewable energy companies that trade on the stock market?
Does any one know any renewable Energy companies that trade on the stock market. I am having a hard time finding them.
Do you have any idea how I can find any more names?
admin answers:
Yahoo Finance or MSN Money are good and free tools you can use. Just search for ‘renewable energy’ or ‘green’ companies. Good example of one start up that is getting lots of attention is Beacon Corp (BCON).

Laura asks…
Can you make money by buying stocks of renewable energy companies?
since global warming and the need for more greener energy like wind power increases, is it really possible you can make lots of money by buying these companies now that are worth virtually nothing, and wait until the world gets the need of renewable energy? (buying shares of stocks). Thanks

Nobody can predict the movement of any stocks whether going up or coming down. Many of the market professionals use fundamental analysis of companies along with technical analysis like chartology, option movements and relative price strength of stocks.
There might be many people who think the same logic as yours and made investment in renewable energy companies. Consequently, some of these companies’ shares have gone up significantly where you might have to find a good spot to buy at certain time.
What you need to do is to study the company’s performance (revenues and earnings and their growth) in relation to the stock price. Also, look into the company’s financial condition (does it have a lot of debts?), market share of its products, product leadership, and earnings browth rates vs. Its competitors.
Since you will be investing your hard earned income, be very careful in doing the preliminary studies before investing. I recommend you also read a couple of books on investment.

Helen asks…
Do renewable energy companies get tax breaks from the US government?
Do companies that produce Solar Panels, hydra power equipment, etc…get tax breaks or incentives from the government? If so, how much?
admin answers:
I’m sure all are different and it depends on the administration that is in power.
I thin trees for biomass, and last year there was a government program that doubled the price I sell chips for. It was short lived and difficult to get paid from. But it was available.

Sharon asks…
What are some good Renewable Energy Companies to Invest in?
I’m thinking of Geothermal l, Wind, Solar, Electric Car Batteries.
Any ideas thank you
admin answers:
You are generally investing in a dead horse, but Maxwell Tech is great, and are going to be releasing new tech that will far exceed anything used in electric vehicles anywhere in the world very shortly.

Robert asks…
Why don’t more people call their energy companies and switch over to a “renewable” energy source?
Such as solar or wind. Most energy companies provide you with a list of sites of renewable energy providers you can easily switch over to. It’s only 7-15 bucks more each month! And you’re doing something good for the earth, isn’t it worth it?
just so everyone knows. I make minimum wage at a hotel. I can afford 7-15 bucks more a month.
FredHH- So now I’m stupid for wanting to do somthing good for the environment?
(Not to say that I don’t do everything else in my power like ride buses or bikes whenever I can, recycle etc. etc.)
And even if thats the case and there’s a huge conspiracy going on with my local solar/wind farm (which I doubt, I’m sure it’s not as simple as you seem to think it is) What is the harm and how does it make me stupid in trying to do something good? I think you’re the ignorant one here.
At least I’m TRYING to be apart of the solution and not the problem. can you say the same for yourself?
admin answers:
Some people aren’t sure if they have the money, some people put things off and never end up getting them done, and there are other people who just simply don’t care.
